a bloody mess

Hey lovelies!

Tomorrow's Halloween and even though most parties were yesterday already we're planning on going out tomorrow cause Nov. 1st is a holiday here anyways :) We already stocked up on fake blood and everything we'll need, but I figured I'd paint my nails accordingly!
You could just cover your hands in a bit of the fake blood, but that's gonna be sticky and rub of on everything you touch, so here's how you can make your nails look bloody without those side effects.

Here's what you need:

a dark red nailpolish [essence eclipse LE 02 thirsty]
brown nailpolish
[essence return to paradise LE 01 jungle drum]
some black polish
[essence 26 fatal]
a piece of paper or cardboard
a few q-tips

To get a real bloody effect, you want to start with your red polish and create your basic dripping or smudged shape. Be sure to make each nail a little different, to make it more realistic. Now, put a bit of both the brown and the black polish next to each other on the card and dip your q-tip in there. Use it like a stamp, pressing the dark color onto your nails. The pattern of the cotton will help create both an unequal distribution of the color, and the texture of dried blood. Try switching it up between a little bit more brown and a little bit more black, and if it gets too dark you can always add some more red. Just keep on layering the polishes, until you get the desired result.

To top it all off you might want to add a bit of fake blood on the back of your hands but all in all this should go lovely with any bloody costume you might pick :D

Have fun tomorrow night!!

my private jet

For some this is the OPI polish, and I have to say I can see why :)
Kate got me My Private Jet for my birthday this week (thank you♥)
and it is really fabulous!

[click photos to enlarge]

I don't think I have to say too much about the color itself, the photos show it pretty well. I just love that even though it is a dark polish, the glitter still makes it very elegant.

Swatches without and with flash. I'm only wearing one coat of My Private Jet.

Thanks for reading our blog ♥

Europapark

The weekend before last we took a little 2 day trip to the Europapark in Rust. We don't have a lot of theme parks here and -quite frankly- most suck. But this one doesn't :D We took a LOT of pictures and even though we only picked a small part of them this post is packed with photos so give it a sec to load :)

↑ most of the weekend the weather was pretty wet
& we only had a few hours of sunshine,
so we wore these high-fashion rain coats all the time - so what :D

notd: waking up in vegas

part three :)
click to see the other top coats from this LE: love / pop / roundup of all 4
today it's time for dance :D

I'm wearing the
essence re-mix your style LE dance top coat waking up in vegas
over
essence multi dimension 3in1 nailpolish 42 dress to party

flash / no flash

This polish is quite lovely and the most unusual of the four. As you can see it doesn't show much in bright lights and unless you're really looking at the nails you probably won't notice it, but when you do it's rather fascinating! The color ranges from bright orange to yellow and green and shimmery gold. I'm wearing just one coat so the effect is subtle but if you apply 2 or 3 coats of this polish it looks truly amazing! I just wish there was a polish to get this effect all over.. =)

notd: feels so good

I already talked about the 4 top coats from essence's re-mix your style LE:
pop, dance, rock and love.
     Today I tried love :)

I used 2 coats of the
essence re-mix your style LE love top coat feels so good
over
p2 color Victim nailpolish 017 elegant

flash / no flash

As you can see, this top coat also looks very different depending on the lighting. In the light its highlights are a silvery metallic pink while in a darker setting it shines golden with just a touch of pink. The polish looks very elegant and interesting when you move your hand and it constantly changes its appearance :)
It's just very hard to catch that effect on camera xD

notd: just can't get enough

I showed you those 4 top coats from the essence re-mix your style LE in this post and today I used the pop laquer when painting my nails.

I applied the
essence re-mix your style LE pop top coat just can't get enough
over
OPI Pirates of the Caribbean LE sparrow me the drama
[one coat each over a clear base laquer]
flash / no flash
I like how it looks completely different in the light (you can really see the base color with just a touch of glitter) and when it's darker (the antique color of the top coat really shows and the glitter features all the colors of the rainbow)!

the original Black Eyed Peas version wasn't on YT so here's the Boyce Avenue cover :)

Catrice - New Eyeshadows and Nail Laquers

Hey lovelies!
Today I got some interesting things I wanted to show you - two eyeshadows and three nail laquers from Catrice. One eyeshadow and two of the nail laquers are from their new product palette!
I'm gonna start with the eyeshadows - I got 280 Heidi Plum and 410 C'mon Chameleon! Both shades are really pretty and the colour payoff as well as the texture is really good!

And then I got those three nail laquers, one from their Ultimate Nudes Collection and two from the regular range: 040 Petit Four As Dessert, 620 Captain Sparrow's Boat and 600 After Eight.

040 Petit Four As Dessert

620 Captain Sparrow's Boat

600 After Eight

I don't know if you have noticed already, but 410 C'mon Chameleon! ist a good dupe for MAC's eyeshadow Club and 620 Captain Sparrow's Boat for Chanel's nailpolish Black Pearl - hence the names :D Black Pearl and Captain Sparrow's Boat definitely describes the same ship. ;)

Have a nice rest of the week!
